Mr. Sowell has been involved in engineering and project management functions within the aviation industry for six years.  As the Senior Electrical Engineer for ASE, Mr. Sowell is responsible for central and point-of-use 400 Hz ground power system designs and installations; 60 Hz power distribution designs; and digital control system designs.  Further, Mr. Sowell performs project management functions for multiple passenger boarding bridge installations, including responsibilities for  terminal building electrical upgrade designs; submittal reviews; contractor compliance verification; specification development; budget development, and construction management.

Prior to his employment with ASE, Mr. Sowell was employed as an Electrical Engineer for Aviation Systems, Inc., where he was responsible for 400 Hz ground power system design and project management.  In addition, his responsibilities included the design of 60 Hz distribution and digital control systems for preconditioned air systems.  Further, he was responsible for submittal reviews, contract compliance verification, specification development, budget development, and construction management, as well as system commissioning, tests and repairs.  Most notably, Mr. Sowell was the chief electrical designer for the 14 gate central preconditioned air and 400 Hz systems at the Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport Concourse T, and the 24 gate central preconditioned air and 400 Hz systems for the San Francisco International Airport, Terminals A & G.
