D. Tran, P.E., Senior Mechanical Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS:
Mr. Tran has 11 years of experience in the mechanical
engineering and business management fields. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer for ASE,
Mr. Tran is primarily involved with the mechanical design of central and point-of-use
preconditioned air systems. Mr. Tran is also responsible for project management
functions on multiple passenger boarding bridge replacement projects. As such,
he is responsible for project scope
and equipment design specifications; equipment and materials procurement; budget
development; project scheduling; construction management; contract compliance
verification, and submittal reviews. Mr. Tran also performs system start-up,
testing, and commissioning.
Prior to joining ASE, Mr. Tran served as the
Lead Systems Design Engineer for Black & Veatch Corporation. In this position, he led design and engineering
duties for various power plant systems, including pipe and equipment sizing;
equipment optimization; specification development, and bid evaluations.
Mr. Tran commands a working knowledge of combustion turbines; steam
turbines; heat recovery boilers; condensers; cooling towers; heat exchangers;
pressure vessels; compressors; valves; piping, and other miscellaneous mechanical
devices. Mr. Tran also coordinated and
managed plant layout design; pipe routing; 3D modeling; and configuration control;
as well as plant equipment procurement; contract administration, and construction
management.
